The idea behind Traffic Sahayak app is to allow citizens to report traffic violations smartly without confronting the frequent violators and get rewarded. The more such traffic violations get reported by good citizens, the more the violators start mending their ways & together we could see traffic violation free streets in a span of a year or two and we see safer streets since the Traffic Police aren't everywhere.

Traffic Sahayak via it's in-app camera allows you to record and report the Traffic Violations happening on the streets through the various functions of your Smartphone device.You can replay the video to check if the necessary details like the Vehicle Number and the Traffic Violation(s) are visible in your recording or not; you can discard it if necessary information is not recorded.
You need to feed the Vehicle Registration Number and the type of Violation(s) the violator has committed. The violations once found genuine by our backend system will then get forwarded to the Traffic Department having the jurisdiction of where the Traffic Violation occurred.

Once the system approves the violation in the video, you get some credits for each violation reported and you can utilize such credits to unlock discount vouchers with various brands associated with us. The Traffic Police Department on receiving the violation videos along with the necessary details can initiate the challans or Tickets or Fines against the Traffic Violator basis the Vehicle Registration No and ask the violators to pay up the fine.

You can report a very wide variety of Traffic Violation via the app, the list of violations you can see under FAQs. The most frequent violations/offences which you could be noticing on streets would be

Each violation type will give you a certain number of credits basis the seriousness of the violation type. The same can be checked out in the FAQ section of the app as well as the website.

In a particular video that you record which ranges from 5 to 20 seconds, you could report multiple vehicles committing multiple violations and not just limit yourself to reporting a single violation only every time. For example, a 2 wheeler could be committing the offence of Stopping ahead of Stop Line and at the same time the rider is not wearing helmet as well. So, in a single video, you record and report 2 traffic offences.

NOTE:-We would also request the users to avoid using the app if they are driving a vehicle. Use it when someone else is driving or when you are stationary.
